Foo Hon Lim Top Leo Academic Award was started 4 years ago by the family of PDG Dato Dr Foo Wan Kien in memory of his son Lion Foo Hon Lim.
This is the first time it is held in Ipoh at St Michael's Institution hall, the home town of the Foo family.
YB Howard Lee was the guest of honour. The Principal of St Michael's Institution was present and so were a few Lions district cabinet officers.
The Lions present were OC PP T. Sriskanda, President Eugene Ong, 1st Vice President R. Jeyasingam, 2nd Vice President Evonne Chen, Service Chairperson PP Peter Lip, LCIF Chairperson IPP Emily Kong, PP Ho Choon Seng, P. Velupillai, Foong Weng Yew, Leong Chyi Liang, Wilson Wong, Ong Soon Chye, Liew Shee Leong, Azrul Allwin Jefri and friends of Lions.
