The school for Leo Advisors for Region 4 and 5 was held at the Ipoh Lions Center this afternoon.

Lions who attended were Treasurer Henna Tan, LCIF Chairperson IPP Emily Kong and Liew Shee Leong.

P.S - The Admin team is taking a weeks break. So it will be up and running on 8th July 2019 only.

Leo Club of Idris Shah Secondary School 38th Anniversary

Leo Club of Idris Shah Secondary School  celebrated their 38th Anniversary at Aula Madani in their school.

Lions present were Ln Lean Siang Kai who was representing President Eugene Ong as the Guest of Honour and Lion Khairol Izam.

Presentation of Wheelchair

LCIH presented a wheelchair to Rosli Sharuddin who due to various ailments is unable to walk properly at his home in Kpg Sg Itek Gopeng this evening.

On hand to present the wheelchair were President Eugene Ong, 2nd Vice President Evonne Chen, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda and son together with Service Chairperson PP Peter Lip.

Foo Hon Lim Top Leo Academic Award

Foo Hon Lim Top Leo Academic Award was started 4 years ago by the family of PDG Dato Dr Foo Wan Kien in memory of his son Lion Foo Hon Lim.

This is the first time it is held in Ipoh at St Michael's Institution hall, the home town of the Foo family.

YB Howard Lee was the guest of honour. The Principal of St Michael's Institution was present and so were a few Lions district cabinet officers.

Installation ceremony LC Batu Gajah & Pusing Mandarin

LCIH attended the 41st and 2nd installation ceremony of Lions Club of Batu Gajah and Lions Club of Pusing Mandarin respectively.

LCIH were busy preparing for the Foo Hon Lim Awards Ceremony on Sunday at the St Micheal's Institution hall.

Donation for Mr Mohd Azelan and Family

LCIH kept their promise to the family of Mohd Azelan by providing the necessary items to enable the family to enjoy the Hari Raya Festivities.

Donation of wheelchair

LCIH paid a visit to Bahari bin Md Arof and presented him with a wheelchair. 

Mr. Bahari had just suffered a stroke.

Meeting with Lions from District 324 A2

LCIH 1st Vice President  R. Jeyasingam met with lions from District 324 A2.

On hand to meet him was DG Elect Karthik Babu for District 324 A2.

The coordinator of this meeting was RC Elect Senthil Kumar from the Lions Club of Vaitheesvaran Kovil Temple.

The District has requested LCIH to carry out joint projects with them.

5 members of Board of Directors for the fiscal year 2019/20 attended School for President Elect, Secretary Elect, Treasurer Elect, BODs Elect and Club Service Chairperson Elect organised by Region 3 & 4 at Ipoh Lions Center, AEON Big Falim.

LCIH 53rd Anniversary

LCIH celebrated its 53rd Anniversary at the Lost World of Tambun. Many Lions from Ipoh were present togather with the visiting Lions from Phuket and Krabi. 

The guest of honour was Howard Lee the Perak State Executive Council of Youth, Sports and Human Development.

A Visit to Orphanage

LCIH members took the visiting Lions from the Lions Club of Phuket and Krabi to carry out a joint project at the Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang Ipoh.

LCIH members took the visiting Lions from the Lions Club of Phuket and Krabi to visit the Millennium Time Capsule.

Fellowship Gathering with Sister Clubs

LCIH had a fellowship gathering with its sister club the Lions Club of Phuket and the Lions Club of of Krabi, Thailand at Classic Corner at ICC Club.

Later all adjourned to the karaoke at the club too.

Environmental Awareness Project

80 Leo's from Leo Club of Anderson, Leo Club of Ave Maria Convent, Leo Club of Sam Tet and Leo Club of Methodist Girls' School togather with 10 Lions and 10 staff from Kinta Riverfront Hotel participated in the environmental project. The project was held at the banks of Kinta river near Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Suites.

LCIH again visited the fly of Mr. Jawahar Nheru a/l Appu and donated provisions to them.

Jawahar Nehru's home in Sungai Siput is about 30km from Ipoh

Presentation of goodie bags to students and Leos

LCIH presented goodie bags to the boarding students of SK Ulu Geruntum  while the Leos of Idris Shah presented old children clothes to the said students.

Presentation of Renovated Stage and 2 fans to SK Ulu Geruntum

LCIH presented a renovated stage and two heavy duty fans for the use of the school hall. The school hall is use to hold multiple event for the students.

On hand to receive the water dispenser was the Principle Mr. Sharifuddin together with Leo Teacher Advisor and Leos.

LCIH donated RM10,000.00 to the school.

This money was donated to LCIH.
