Educational Aid

The LCIH donated RM1,500.00 to assist Kavesha Renu, an acountancy student from Ungku Omar Polytechnic to ease her financial burden as from Dec to April 2019.

The Lions Club of Pusing Mandarin celebrated its charter night today. The 100th club in District 308B2.

A visit to SMK Anderson

The authorities of Anderson school have agreed to allow the joint project "Journey with the blind" to be held at the Anderson School field on 27th January, 2019.

Zone Meeting

Four Key Officers namely President Eugene Ong, Secretary Jimmy Chua, Treasurer Henna Tan and Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda attended the 3rd District Governor Advisory Committee Meeting for Region 4, Zone 10 & 11 to discuss on the activities and projects to be carried out for the year. Meeting held at Ipoh Lions Centre, AEON Big, Falim.

The Zone meeting was chaired by IPP Emily Kong who is the Zone 11 Chairperson.

Joint project with Leos (International Leo Day) 2.0

13 Leo Clubs celebrated International Leo Day at the Vision Home, Ipoh.

They painted mural. Sang songs and donated cash and goodies to the children.

Joint project with Leos (International Leo Day) 1.0

In conjunction with the International Leo Day and Children Day, Lions and Leo organised few activities for children from Vision Home Ipoh at AEON Big Falim. 

Activities included were movie watching (Ralph Breaks the Internet), lunch at Marrybrown and playing games.

A Mural

The Leo Club of Idris Shah Sec School drew murals on the classrooms of students with special needs at SMK Idris Shah Gopeng.

The Lions presented some stationary to the special needs children.

On hand to witness the occasion were Membership Chairperson and Chief Leo Advisor PP T. Sriskanda, Lean Siang Kai, P. Velupillai and Khairol Izam.

Deepavali and Xmas Celebration at SK Guru Kalgidhar

SK Guru Kalgidhar invited LCIH to join their Deepavali and Xmas celebration at their school. The Guest of Honour for the event is ADUN of Buntong, YB Sivasubramaniam.

Graduation Ceremony of Special Needs Children of Kolej Tingkatan Enam Seri Putera

A graduation ceremony was held at Tower Regency Hotel & Apartments for special needs children from Kolej Tingkatan Enam Seri Putera.

LCIH sponsered the lunch for these children.

Presentation on the Formation of a Leo Club

Five LCIH members, 2nd Vice President Evonne Chen, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Mohd Sayadi, Wilson Wong and Khairul Izam visited SMK Raja Permaisuri to promote the Leo Club to the students.

The presentation included the benefit of being a Leo member and activities and project where Leos were involved.

Around 120 students attended the talk.

Just received news that the Principal of the school is not interested in starting a Leo Club there.

Induction of 4 new members

4 new members namely Abdul Johari bin Abdul Rahman, Tan Shee Xiang, Tan Shee Foong and Liew Shee Leong were inducted during the LCIH monthly meeting by Zone Chairperson IPP Emily Kong.

Presentation of mock cheque to SK Manjoi Satu on their prize giving day for purchase of seven set tables and chairs for their library.

Pediatric Cancer Project at MGS.

LCIH held its Pediatric Cancer Project at the MGS.

The main speaker was Dato' Dr. Amar Singh.

Diabetes Day at MGS

Lcih togather with Staff from Yet Kai Hospital held a diabetes screening for teachers of the Methodist Girls School at the school premises.

35 teachers attended the screening.

Deepavali celebration

LCIH held a Deepavali celebration with the children from The Good Sheppard Family Home, Ipoh.

The Lions and the children participated in games togather and everyone had a good time.

Zone 10 & 11 organised this year's Peace Poster contest at Aeon Big. 

10 Lion Clubs including LCIH participated in this project.

Update: Lions Home

Finally the welfare department has issued the license for the Lions Home.

LCIH had a meeting with the Ray of Hope. At the meeting it was decided that classes for young children with special needs shall commence in January, 2019.
